Overview

What: A centralized module for managing prescription workflows, enabling the creation, deployment, and tracking of structured treatment plans for pigs exhibiting symptoms or diagnosed diseases.

When: Whenever pigs are flagged for treatment on the mobile App—after symptom detection and diagnosis—and throughout the treatment lifecycle until completion or termination.

Responsible Role: Farm Manager or Veterinarian

Prescription Workflow

Step 1 - Review: Flagged pigs will appear on the web console’s Diagnosis & Treatment page, select the pigs to treat.

Step 2 - Create Prescription: Choose one or more medications.

Step 3 - Deploy: The prescription appears as a treatment task in the mobile App.

What Is a Medication

A medication is a single type of treatment within a prescription (e.g.: aspirin). Each medication is composed of the following:

• Medication: the type of medication (e.g.: Aspirin)
• Brand and form: the brand of the medication and its format (e.g.: Bayer (powder))
• Treatment method: how the medication is given to the pigs (e.g.: Mixed into water)
• Dosage and unit: how much to give (e.g.: 40 grams)
• Start date: When is the first dose given (e.g.: 2025/10/25 grams)
• Number of doses: single dose or multiple doses (e.g.: 5 doses)
• Interval between doses and unit: how much time between doses (e.g.: 12 hours)
