Overview

What: Manage and enforce physical access control policies on the farm by defining Access Profiles, granting or revoking permissions, and leveraging biosecurity monitoring to ensure only authorized individuals enter designated areas.

When: Continuously, as part of daily farm operations:

• When creating or updating Access Profiles
• When approving or changing individual user access
• When monitoring and logging entry and exit events

Responsible Role: Farm Manager or Biosecurity Manager

What Is an Access Profile?

An Access Profile defines where a user is allowed to go. It sets the boundaries for physical access within the farm — such as specific units, sections, zones — based on role and biosecurity level.

Each profile includes:

• A list of zones/sections the user can access
• Any requements tied to that access (e.g. negative test, vaccination, or role)
